Ceramic Membrane
Separation & Purification Technologies
Materials that have high ionic conductivities are often used for separation and/or purification.
Here, elements in ionic form, under appropriate operating conditions, like temperature, pressure, or electrochemical potential, can be driven through an impermeable, dense (non-porous) ceramic membrane.
The advantage of our proposed ceramic membrane approach is that very high level (>99%) of selective separation and/or purification can be achieved.
Ceramatec uses different types of ceramic membrane systems with proprietary formulations for different ionic separation/purification needs.
Today, our focus is not only to develop new materials for ionic separation but also scale up existing ceramic membrane separation and purification technologies to make them a commercial reality.
Using our proprietary ceramic compositions, we can separate / purify elemental species like Sodium, Oxygen, Lithium, Hydrogen & Fluroine.
